Dialogues@EIR: “Food security, as an element of the Common Agricultural Policy and of the Romanian agriculture in an European context. Challenges for 2023-2027”

The European Institute of Romania (EIR) organised on Monday, 27th of  February 2023,  within the series entitled Dialogues@EIR, an event (online format – Zoom platform) with the topic: “Food security, as an element of the Common Agricultural Policy and of the Romanian agriculture in an European context. Challenges for 2023-2027”.

Our guests at the dialogue were Lucian Luca, deputy director, Institute of Agrarian Economy, Romanian Academy; Cecilia Alexandri, director, Institute of Agrarian Economy, Iuliana Ionel, head of the sector, Institute of Agrarian Economy; Daniela Giurcă, researcher, Institute of Agrarian Economy; Constantin Marin, director, Financial and Monetary Research Center “Victor Slăvescu’’, The National Institute of Economics Research, Romanian Academy.

The event was opened by Oana-Mihaela Mocanu, director general of the EIR, and the moderation was provided by Iulian Oneașcă, expert within the European Studies Unit (EIR).

Dialogues@EIR:#foodsecurity had the objective to present the research results within the homonymous study, respectively to outline a solution in order to ensure Romania’s food safety and to stimulate the quality of production, in the context of the new Common Agricultural Policy and the remaining period of the Financial Framework 2021-2027.
