Uncertainties and dilemmas of the European defence policy in the current international security context

The European Institute of Romania announces the publication, within the “Opinions” section, of a document regarding the future of the European defence policy, in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, as well as an answer to the challenges generated by an international system in transition.

Șerban Filip Cioculescu, scientific researcher within the Institute for Political Studies of Defence and Military History and guest lecturer at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Bucharest, presents in his paper the challenges generated by the current security framework, as well as the possible ways of facing the risks and threats, in the context of the debates regarding the European defence policy.

The paper was presented during the debate „European defence policy in the context of the Ukrainian war”, organized on the 9th of June 2022 by the European Institute of Romania and the Robert Schuman Foundation (Paris). More details can be found, in Romanian, here.
