European Institute of Romania – educational partner in the project “Strengthen Cybersecurity Education and Research for Preventing Cybercrime”

The Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (ARASEC) is implementing the project “Strengthen Cybersecurity Education and Research for Preventing Cybercrime”, with the support of the US Embassy in Romania and the educational partners, namely the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the National Institute of Magistracy (INM), the European Institute of Romania (EIR) and the Romanian Banking Institute (RBI).

The project goal is to strengthen the cybersecurity education and to promote and disseminate cybersecurity research in Romania for preventing cybercrime.

The project’s objectives include:

  • Delivering online training activities for enhancing the skills of criminal justice authorities in cybercrime investigations;
  • Delivering online training activities for improving the cybersecurity knowledge of high schools and university students;
  • Organizing a scientific conference for promoting and disseminating cybersecurity educational and research papers and raising awareness on cybersecurity;
  • Developing a conference platform, for indexing the conference proceeding in scientific international databases;
  • Promoting international cooperation in fighting cybercrime.
