European Congress of Local Governments, 8-9 April 2019, Krakow/Poland

The fifth edition of the European Congress of Local Governments will be held in Krakow on 8 to 9 April 2019. The event aims to be a platform for exchange of ideas and a venue for local government leaders and regional elites to meet with representatives of national administration, non-governmental organisations and business. The mission of the Congress is to create positive atmosphere of exchange and improve cooperation between European regions.

Within the Congress program the European Institute of Romania (EIR), in partnership with the Institute for Eastern Studies (IES, Warsaw), will organize the panel-debate on Contemporary Local Government – Tasks and Challenges The debate will benefits of the presence of representatives of central and local authorities and well-known experts within EU member states and will be moderated by Mrs. Gabriela Drăgan, Director General of the EIR.
