EuroIMPACT – Follow up

The project “Informing and improving communication on EU Cohesion Policy in Romania”, implemented by the European Institute of Romania and HotNews between 16 April 2018 and 16 March 2019, had two main objectives: raise the Romanian general public’s awareness about the tools and impact of the EU Cohesion Policy on the country’s development and facilitate debates and knowledge sharing about the current and future EU-funded projects amongst relevant stakeholders.

In the framework of this project, EuroIMPACT was a large-scale communication and information event focused on the Cohesion Policy of the European Union in Romania. It consisted of a high-level conference followed by a series of workshops and a genuine fair of ideas regarding already implemented and possible future projects.

Among other things, EuroIMPACT succeeded in:

  • fostering dialogue on the Cohesion Policy in Romania, drawing lessons and highlighting challenges from past experience;
  • bringing forward success stories, good practices, lessons learnt and opportunities in the implementation of the EU Cohesion Policy in Romania;
  • supporting ideas and knowledge sharing amongst institutions and specialists interested in project implementation.

For further details, please see the brochure of the event. Outcome and main findings, as well as post-event articles, can be found here.
