Debate: Regional Development and Cohesion Policy Reform post-2020

20 October 2017 – The European Institute of Romania and the European Studies Center of the Faculty of Law from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized a debate on Regional Development and Cohesion Policy Reform post-2020.

Included in the program “University’s Days”, this event was also part of the public debate campaign meant to introduce the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council.

Among the topics discussed, we mention: opportunities and challenges of regional development, identification of premises for sound absorption of European funds, identification of key development areas and development of budget priorities, etc.

The debate brought together representatives of public administration, of the European Parliament, experts from academic and research areas, think-thank experts dealing with policy analysis as well as members of civil society and the media.
