28 February 2014 – In the context of European Parliament elections scheduled to take place on 25 May 2014 in Romania and of the institutional citizen information campaign on the importance of voting, the Information Bureau of the European Parliament in Romania, organised in collaboration with the European Institute of Romania and Europe Direct Bucharest Information Centre, on 28 February a debate entitled Quality of life under the focus of the European Parliament.
Participants approached topic son the impact of European legislation and, especially, that of the activity of the European Parliament on fields which define “quality of life” for the European citizens such as: consumer protection, protection of personal data, food safety, healthcare and environment protection, among others.
Members of the European parliament, as well as leaders of opinion in the mentioned fields have been invited to express their views.
