26 April 2012 – The European Institute of Romania organized, a conference with the topic The Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy in the Context of the Post-2013 Budgetary Perspective.
The event was attended by Mr. Octavian Bumbu, State Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Valeriu Steriu, President of the Presidential Commission for agriculture development public policies in Romania, Mr. Adrian Rădulescu, President of the Committee for Agriculture, forestry, food industry and specific services, Chamber of Deputies, Mr. Costel Olteanu, President of the National Private Capital Business Union in Romania, member of the EIR Administrative Board, Mrs. Maria Baciu, Director, Ministry of European Affairs, as well as Mrs.Gabriela Drăgan, Professor PhD., Director General of the European Institute of Romania.
The starting point of the discussions was the result of the research undertaken by the study The Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy in the Context of the Post-2013 Budgetary Perspective. The coordinator of the study, Mrs. Daniela Giurcă, PhD., Consultant on agriculture policies and rural development delivered a speech on the results of this particular research. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and of the specialised academic milieu also participated to the conference. The debate was chaired by Mr. Filon Toderoiu, Professor PhD, Deputy Director of the Institute for Agricultural Economics.
