Working Papers Series – Guidelines for authors

Guidelines for authors

The micro-studies collection products may be published in Romanian, in English or in a bilingual issue.

They must have between 5-10 pages in the case of Policy Briefs and, respectively, 20-30 pages for Working Papers (including bibliography). In the case of Working Papers, they should also include an abstract, a short autobiography of the author(s) and a table of contents, detailed by chapters. It is highly recommended to avoid an excessively specialized language, as well as the abusive use of mathematical formulas.

However, authors may include in the text or the annexes of the study tables, graphs or sketches, in order to support their argumentation. Oxford citation style is recommended.

All papers need to be submitted in Microsoft Office Word (.doc/.docx), 12 Times New Roman format, at 1.5 lines, at the email address: studii[at]ier.gov.ro, with the subject specification „For EIR micro-studies collection”.

Selection of papers

Each paper proposed for publication undergoes a selection process before being accepted. The review process is undertaken by the series’ coordinator and the editorial board. During the evaluation procedure, a series of factors, both qualitative and quantitative, are taken into consideration. The coordinator informs EIR’s General Director regarding the selection process’ results.

Should a paper be accepted, the editorial board has the right to edit the materials, when necessary, while keeping the spirit of the original paper. The micro-studies are published in electronic format (on EIR’s website).

Editorial Board

  • Mihaela-Adriana Pădureanu, expert, Studies Unit, coordinator of the editorial board
  • Caroline Raluca Ghețu, expert, Studies Unit, member of the editorial board
  • Ioana-Elena Secu, expert, Studies Unit, member of the editorial board

Starting with 2010, the submission of a paper for evaluation and further publication in the micro-studies collection (Policy Briefs and Working Papers) involves that the author accepts the copyright policy of the series. The form is available online here.
