EIR Newsletter, no. 107 – January 2021

The first 2021 edition of the EIR newsletter brings to the readers’ attention an interview with Ambassador Luminița Teodora Odobescu, Permanent Representative of Romania to the European Union. In the interview given to the editorial team, Ambassador Odobescu talks about the European perspective of the vaccination campaign, the European plan for promoting and consolidating democracy, the strategic autonomy of the European Union and what does it mean from Romania’s point of view, the provisions of the Brexit Adjustment Reserve and what kind of financial support Romania can receive, respectively what are the steps that will be taken for the organization of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

Also, the January 2021 edition of the EIR newsletter includes an article on the priorities of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as retrospectives on the activities carried out by the departments of the European Institute of Romania in 2020: research and publications, communication, training, translations, projects and the Europe Direct Bucharest Center.
