TEPSA, the trans-European research network for European affairs, recently published a special issue of the experts’ debrief regarding the most recent European Council summit (23-24 June 2022). On this occasion, experts from several partner research institutes were invited to contribute with opinions. The texts included present views on the EU neighbourhood and enlargement policy, the European Political Community, the outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe and treaty reform, as well as the EU’s energy supply.
The European Institute of Romania contributed with two materials, wrote by Mihai Sebe and Eliza Vaș (from the European Studies Unit). The first refers to the accession process and the reforms in the candidate countries, while the second addresses the positions of the European institutions regarding the results of the Conference on the Future of Europe and the launch of a procedure to amend the EU treaties.
The publication includes a foreword and concluding remarks signed by Jim Cloos, TEPSA Secretary General.
The debrief was published on July 8, 2022, and is available in English here.
