The United Nations and the European Union have cooperated in various situations to find the most successful solutions to some of the problems of the contemporary world. This relationship has been constantly deepened by both organisations as a result of their shared values and norms. The area of peacekeeping and crisis management is one of these sectors and is, at the same time, one of the most dynamic areas where this relationship is visible. Interaction in the crisis management and peacekeeping area has provided the opportunity to analyse the effectiveness of their cooperation in the working paper “Cooperation between the United Nations and the European Union in the fields of Peacekeeping and Crisis Management in unpredictable times”.

The document also presents in a separate section the contribution Romania has made to these activities as a member state of both organisations.
