A new editorial release: Geopolitics in the time of coronavirus

The European Institute of Romania would like to bring to your attention the publication of a fresh piece in the “Opinions” section of our website, an article dedicated to the recent SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the ensuing crisis, entitled “Geopolitics in the time of coronavirus”.

The two authors, Paul Dobrescu and Mălina Ciocea, both professors at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, analyse the impact of this exceptional situation on the European Union and its Member States, mainly focusing on the public opinion and the geopolitical consequences of the pandemic for the world order. Throughout the paper, the authors formulate a series of recommendations for the European leaders, starting from the lessons learned and possible evolution scenarios.
