Annual Conference and the Third Edition of the EIR Awards of Excellence

13 December 2013 – The New Multi-Annual Financial Framework: Priorities for the European Union, Priorities for Romania

The European Institute of Romania (EIR), in cooperation with the Representation of the European Commission in Romania, organised on 13 December 2012 its Annual Conference with the topic “The New Multi-Annual Financial Framework: Priorities for the European Union, Priorities for Romania”.  The conference also hosted the third edition of the EIR Awards of Excellence, dedicated this year to research and training in the European Affairs, in the academic environment.

The conference was attended by officials of the Ministry of European Affairs, of the Representation of the European Commission in Romania, of the European Institute of Romania, of embassies of Member States to Bucharest, as well as by highly esteemed experts, analysts and researchers in European Affairs.

The debates were followed by the festivity of granting the EIR Awards of Excellence. The third edition’s winners are: Jean Monnet Center of Excellence in European Studies (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iaşi), the Institute for Euro-Regional Studies (University of Oradea), the Center of Excellence for the European Union’s Institutional and Administrative Reform – PRIAUE (Babeş – Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca), the Institute for European Research (Babeş – Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca), the Center for Migration and Mobility Studies –SISEC (West University, Timişoara), the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies (Bucharest University), the Center for European Law Studies(“Acad. Andrei Rădulescu” Institute for Legal Research) and the Romanian Association for International Relations and European Studies.
